The maple leaf! YES! Finally! I was so close last year and not a day has gone by that I haven't thought about it...so I'm extremely stoked to have made it happen this year. I'd like to extend a huge thanks to my Team Exergy staff and management for providing a racing calendar that prepared me for this race and to CyclingBC's Jeff Ain, Tim Sherstobitoff and Richard Wooles who made this past week a real highlight of the year. Haywood Securities and CyclingBC set us up in extremely comfortable and relaxing accomodation for the week of the championships and provided an ideal opportunity to trade insight and share experiences as the crew included a wide range of ages. The CyclingBC U23 crew (who also worked tirelessly on Sunday to help me secure the title) included former National Track team member Jacob Schwingboth, multi-time Junior National champion Alex Cataford, as well as up and coming racers Cody Campbell, Jesse Reams and Kyle Buckosky. On the professional side, I was able to spend the week with Nic Hamilton (Jelly Belly), Jamie Sparling (Raleigh), Marsh Cooper, Sebastian Salas (Optum Health), Svein Tuft, Christian Meier (Orica-Greenedge).
