Team Whitman College Alumni

Today Chris Thomas '07 and Colin Gibson '10 joined me for a tough one. Colin is currently preparing for his first season with the Hagens Berman Elite Team, one of the northwest's top amateur squad while Chris is busy getting all educated in law. Chris has joined me periodically this fall so it was awesome to have Colin out. With a mix of sunshine, fog and snow, I'm not sure if Colin had a good or bad effect on the weather. Unbeknownst to him, I had quite a ride planned so we headed off to Logie Trail.

Chris (Yellow) & Colin (HB Kit) heading out from the Lovejoy Bakery
After a warm up along Portland's infamous North Williams "Mario Kart" Avenue, it was time to go to work.
Logie Trail is one the hallmark climbs of Portland so it was important to show Colin what Portland has to offer. We were both pretty gassed at the top. he last couple minutes it started snowing which definitely made the whole max effort thing a little bit more epic.

After eating a little bit of foodwe made our way over to Old Germantown. Now this is another road that not enough people ride. Hidden from traffic, its smooth tarmac and shallower grade make for a great place to throw down some power. It's a 9-10 minute effort, try it next time your out. Make sure you order a healthy dose of fog for extra epic factor!

Spaghetti Squash greeted us upon our arrival home! Wha,wha, wee, wha!
Ready to release the hounds!
