Toque Torque: New Client Success

It's early December so that means that training is starting to get a little bit more focused. On the coaching side, the last few months have involved a lot of cyclocross work and some weightlifting for my clients at Toque Torque Coaching. I'm happy to share with you some of their recent insight and successes.

Molly and Lizzie @ Marymoor Velodrome
From the collegiate side, Molly and Lizzie got a chance to try out track cycling this summer and have since transitioned into their first experience at cyclocross. Although they have both been busy with senior year, their have been able to find a great balance between their racing and training. Neither of them had no idea that they would love cyclocross as much as they have.

My newest client, Dan Gronross has also been totally blowing away his own expectations of his fitness this fall as he not only picked up a cyclocross bike for the first time in September, but recently upgraded to the elite 1-2 category. YES! Dan has really been able to fine-tune his approach to racing and both of us are excited to continue his preparations for the 2013 spring/summer road season after a bit of well-deserved break during the first weeks of December.  Congrats Dan!

Canadian National Championships

Another new client that I started working with in August, John Callahan, has been very busy pushing himself in both the mud and the gym to further understand why he rides and enjoys training with the hopes of creating a consistent assault at the 2013 road cycling season.  Recently John ventured out on the gravel roads of the midwest and raced the Gravel Grovel. A difficult event in even the best of weather, John took advantage of the race to test out some of the big changes he has made to his nutrition since the summer. He is learning a lot everyday and it is really fun to work with someone as passionate as him. Look out for more on John as the summer nears, hes got some fire in that belly.

What are you doing to realize better health and more satisfactory performance on and off the bike? Perhaps you need to give yourself a christmas present....like a coach!  I offer great rates and consistent contact with a program designed around your life so that you can reach your goals on and off the bike without suffering from burn out. You can read more about Toque Torque Coaching at our landing page. Cheers.
